By accessing this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to them, please do not use this website.
We publish and sell The Secret of the Golden Island by Pablo Uriarte, a physical hardcover illustrated children’s book (ISBN 978-9918-0-1806-2), recommended for readers aged 5 to 10.
We take care to describe and photograph the book accurately. However, colours and finishes may appear slightly different depending on your screen settings, and photographs are illustrative. Small variations in printing, binding and trim are normal in physical book production and are not considered defects.
All prices are shown in Euro and include VAT where applicable. Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout before you confirm your order.
Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract between us is formed only when we send you an order confirmation by email. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order — for example if the book is out of stock, if there has been an obvious pricing or description error, or if we suspect fraudulent activity. If we cancel an order you have already paid for, we will refund you in full.
Payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not store your card details.
We ship to Europe
Orders are normally dispatched within 2 working days. Estimated delivery times are 3–5 working days for Malta, 5–14 for the EU, 7–22 international. These are estimates, not guarantees, and delivery may be affected by postal delays, customs or events outside our control.
Risk in the book passes to you on delivery. If your order has not arrived within 5 working days of the estimated delivery date, please contact us at urilandstudio@gmail.com and we will investigate.
For deliveries outside the EU, you may be liable for import duties, taxes or customs charges. These are your responsibility and are not included in the price you pay us.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of the day you (or someone you nominate) receive the book, without giving any reason.
To exercise this right, tell us clearly before the 14 days expire — by email to urilandstudio@gmail.com — that you wish to withdraw. You then have a further 14 days to return the book to us at:

Please return the book in a resaleable condition, in its original packaging where possible. You are responsible for the cost of return postage and for any loss in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature and condition of the book.
We will refund all payments received from you, including standard outbound delivery costs, within 14 days of receiving the returned book (or proof that you have sent it), using the same payment method you used originally. If you chose an upgraded delivery option, we refund only the cost of our standard delivery.
If your book arrives damaged, defective or is not what you ordered, contact us at urilandstudio@gmail.com within 1 days of delivery with a description and photographs. We will arrange a replacement or a full refund, including return postage, at no cost to you.
This does not affect your statutory rights. Under EU and Maltese consumer law you are entitled to a legal guarantee of conformity for two years from delivery.

Some visual elements were produced or edited with the assistance of AI tools as part of the author’s own creative process; the resulting work, its selection, arrangement and design, remains the intellectual property of the author and Uriland Studio Ltd.
No part of this publication may be reproduced, distributed, transmitted, adapted, translated or stored in any form or by any means — electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording, scanning or otherwise — without our prior written permission, except for brief quotations in a review or as permitted by applicable copyright law.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under Maltese law.
Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, business or opportunity.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the moment you place an order is the version that applies to that order.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malta, and disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Maltese courts. If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections in the law of the country where you live.
If you are unhappy with something, please contact us first — most things are resolved quickly and directly. EU consumers may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform, and consumers in Malta may contact the Office for Consumer Affairs at the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority (MCCAA).
